Buju Banton: Til Shiloh - 25th Anniversary Vinyl 2LP

"Til Shiloh mean forever." Well-deserved expanded anniversary edition of Buju Banton’s best album and international breakthrough. Released in 1995, ’Til Shiloh was propped up by a string of popular singles which ushered in a new era of roots / consciousness in an time when dancehall was otherwise ruled by gun talk and slackness - a pervading atmosphere which Buju himself was responsible for at least partially, before his turn to Rastafarianism. Production by a who’s-who of 90s dancehall studio rats: Digital B, Mafia & Fluxy, Steely & Clevie, Dave Kelly, Sly Dunbar and overseen by Donovan Germain of Penthouse Records, this expanded 2LP edition comes with a slew of awesome bonus tracks from the era including hit single “Murderer,” “Sensemilia Persecution,” “Champion,” “Complaint” featuring Garnett Silk and more plus three previously unreleased tracks. Also check out OG album cuts “Wanna Be Loved,” “Til I’m Laid To Rest” and “Untold Stories.” Housed in deluxe gatefold sleeve with printed inners and new liner notes. Recommended.
