Ein richtiges FBO (Full Bolt On- deutsch so etwas wie "voll ausgestattet") Setup besteht neben einem effizienteren und größerem Ladeluftkühler, einer stabilen Ladeluftverrohrung und dem passenden Kennfeld immer auch aus einer strömungsoptimierten Abgasanlage bzw. Downpipe.

Die Steigerung der Leistung bei Turbo Motoren wird mithilfe verschiedener Parameteränderungen erreicht. Einer der wichtigsten und sicherlich spaßigsten Parameter ist der Boost bzw. Ladedruck. Die Erhöhung des Ladedrucks geht allerdings mit Erhöhung des Abgasvolumens einher, was widerrum zu einer heißeren Abgastemperatur und damit zu einer höheren Belastung aller Motorkomponenten führt.
Was ist also tun? Die Lösung zur Vermeidung von Überlastungsspitzen trotz höherem Ladedruck ist der Einbau einer strömungsoptimierten Abgasverrohrung. Als Downpipe z.B. wird das Rohr des Abgasstrangs bezeichnet, welches direkt hinter den Turboladern sitzt.
Neben der beliebten, jedoch nicht legalen Variante, die Downpipes gegen katlose Downpipes zu ersetzen ist eine gesetzesfreundlichere Variante der Austausch des originalen Katalysators gegen einen Katalysator mit weniger Zellen.
Möchtet ihr nicht auf unsere fertig umgebauten OEM Downpipes zurück greifen oder aber wollt den Kat anderweitig verwenden, bekommt ihr hier nun ab sofort den einzelnen Katalysator zum Selbst Einbau!
Nach unseren Tests hält der Kat die EU6 Norm (getestet in einem BMW 240i) ein!

Wichtig: Der Katalysator besitzt keine ECE oder anderweitige Straßenzulassung! Durch den Austausch eures Kats entfällt die Straßenverkehrszulassung und euer Fahrzeug darf ohne Einzelabnahme nicht mehr im Straßenverkehr bewegt werden!
