Schulz SRP 4025E Dynamic: 92 CFM from a cabinet quiet enough to stand in the shop

Rotary screw compressors have a reputation for being banished to a back room, and it is usually deserved — a bare screw machine running continuously is not something you want fifteen feet from a service advisor's desk. The SRP 4025E is built inside a sound-attenuated cabinet that brings it down to 69 dB(A), which changes where you are allowed to put it. For a shop without a dedicated compressor room, that is not a comfort feature; it is the difference between installing the machine and not being able to.

Inside the cabinet is an oil-injected rotary air end producing 92 CFM at 125 PSI at a 100% duty cycle, driven by a 25 HP TEFC IP55 motor and mounted on its own 120-gallon horizontal ASME receiver.

Read this before you order: a supply-voltage conflict in our data

We are putting this first because it is the one thing on this page that could cost you real money if you find it late.

This listing, the product title, the model designation and the manufacturer's own overview all describe a 460V three-phase machine. One specification field on our record instead reads 208-230V. Those are different machines electrically — a motor is wound for one supply, and the wrong one cannot be corrected in the field.

The weight of the evidence points to 460V, but we are not going to let you wire a building on the strength of our reasoning. Contact us to confirm the supply voltage in writing before your electrician specifies anything or before you order. We will verify it against the manufacturer specification sheet. The rest of the machine's data is consistent across every source we hold.

What the sound cabinet is doing

An attenuated enclosure is not a box with foam glued inside it. It has to absorb noise while still moving enough cooling air through the machine to keep the air end and motor within temperature, which is a real engineering compromise — seal it too well and the compressor overheats, open it up and the noise comes straight back out. The rated 69 dB(A) is what that compromise achieves here.

The practical result is a machine that can live in the working area. It also means the enclosure is doing a cooling job, so it must be kept clear: do not stack stock against it, do not build it into a tight alcove, and keep its intakes clean. A cabinet that cannot breathe is a compressor that shuts down on temperature, and the cause is rarely obvious to whoever finds it stopped.

Continuous duty, and what you are actually paying for

A piston compressor advertised at a similar output is rated to run for a fraction of any given hour. Run it harder and it overheats and wears out. This machine's 100% duty cycle rating means the opposite: continuous running is what it was designed to do, so a shop where the air demand simply does not stop is normal service rather than abuse.

That is the argument for the whole category, and it is worth being honest about the trade. You pay more up front for a screw machine than for a piston machine of similar rated output. What you buy is a machine that will still be delivering its rated air after the piston machine has been replaced, plus air that arrives steadily rather than in pulses — which matters to anything with a regulator on the front of it.

Oil-injected, belt driven, cast iron

The rotors are oil-injected: the oil seals the clearances between them, carries away compression heat and lubricates the bearings, all at once. That is why oil level and oil condition are the maintenance items that actually determine the life of the machine, and why an oil sight glass is fitted where somebody can see it without tools. The drive is by belt, and the pump is solid cast iron. An aftercooler is fitted as standard to drop the discharge temperature and knock the bulk of the moisture out at the machine rather than in your pipework.

Will It Fit?

The package is 58.5 in long, 30.3 in wide and 39.8 in high, weighing 1178 lbs, all on one skid because the air end, motor and receiver are assembled as a 2-In-1 unit. Put it on sound level concrete, leave clear space around the cabinet for airflow and access, and pipe away from the 1-inch tank outlet without necking it down. Ambient temperature is stated as acceptable up to 113 °F.

On the electrical side, our record gives amp draw and recommended breaker as items to confirm with a certified electrician rather than as printed numbers, which is right — they depend on the final supply voltage, on your run length and on local code. The incoming supply, disconnect, overcurrent protection and conductors are the customer's responsibility and need a licensed electrician — and on this particular unit, settle the voltage question above before any of that is ordered.

Perfect For

  • Shops with no separate compressor room. The attenuated cabinet is what makes an in-shop installation reasonable.
  • Service operations with steady mid-range demand — several bays on air tools through the working day.
  • Tyre and alignment shops where air is in constant, overlapping use rather than occasional bursts.
  • Buyers replacing a worn piston compressor and tired of waiting for pressure to recover.

What Is in the Box

The complete tank-mounted machine: rotary air end and motor on the 120-gallon horizontal ASME receiver, inside the sound-attenuated cabinet, with a magnetic starter, the 24V microprocessor controller, an oil sight glass and an aftercooler fitted. Our specification record explicitly lists no air dryer and no electronic drain valve on this configuration. If your work is spray, plasma or anything moisture-sensitive, plan a dryer in as a separate purchase now rather than discovering the need later.

Certification, stated plainly

The receiver is ASME certified — a pressure-vessel certification covering the design, materials, fabrication and inspection of the tank itself. That is the certification that matters most to an inspector, because the vessel is the part that stores energy, and it is a genuine third-party code requirement rather than a manufacturer's own claim.

It does not, however, say anything about the machine as an electrical assembly, and our data claims no safety listing of that kind for the package. We would rather draw that line clearly than let an ASME stamp on the tank be read as a listing for everything bolted to it. If your insurer or your local inspection regime requires a whole-equipment listing, confirm the requirement and check it with us before you buy.

Shipping, delivery and pickup

Ships by freight within the lower 48 states, priced live at checkout for your actual address rather than from a figure baked into this page. Arrange the unload before delivery day: a forklift with the capacity for a heavy skid, or a terminal collection, which is often the simpler option for one machine. Residential delivery can be arranged and carries a residential fee, shown at checkout. Schulz equipment can also be collected from Acworth, GA. Whatever route you choose, inspect the machine while the driver is still there and write any damage onto the delivery paperwork before signing — that note is what makes a claim work. Call, text or chat with any questions: 866-774-7743.

Warranty

Our record shows a 1-year warranty covering both consumer and commercial use. Two things protect it in practice: a documented installation, and an oil and filter record kept from the first service onward. If the machine faults, get in touch before anything comes apart — do not open the air end, the separator vessel or the electrical panel ahead of a claim. Dismantled equipment turns a straightforward warranty conversation into a slow one.
